Maison Martin Margiela Satin and Chiffon Jacket and Skirt SS1993

A Maison Martin Margiela black satin and chiffon jacket and black satin lined skirt with a white cotton overlay. From the iconic Maison Martin Margiela Spring / Summer 1993 "Victoriana" runway collection. The top is from Look 6 and the skirt is from Look 14. 

The jacket has sheer "gauze textured" sleeves with darts throughout. The sleeve has the iconic Margiela pouf at the shoulder and a ruching detail at the wrist to create a small flared bell sleeve-like silhouette. 

The skirt has dart detailing at the waist line of the skirt. The white cotton overlay has a slight sheerness with the black satin peeking out from under the skirt at the hem. The skirt has a high slit in the back.

Jacket -  Excellent Vintage Condition.

Skirt - Good Vintage Condition. The skirt has some stains and has been repaired in the inside consistent with preloved use and age.
