The Iconic Thierry Mugler Haute Couture black velvet "Vampire" dress which is documented and dated 1981. The dress has gravity defying low puff sleeves at the elbows which are coupled with the classic Mugler "eye lash" detail of the bustier style top and is dramatically highlighted by a hi-low peplum.

This iconic dress is on display at the Indianapolis Museum of Art.

The dress was worn by Natalie Portman.
